Cc cream is more towards color correcting and/or color calming. Bb cream is more towards lightly concealing blemishes.

All the double letters is nothing but marketing gimmicks just as Hailey mentioned. CC color correct and BB is considered a blemish balm. Do they work? It depends. The America versions are glorified tinted moisturizers depending on who you ask while the one's that come out of Korea are more in line with skincare rather than just being a basic moisturizer. Myself personally I see American and Korean versions being beneficial based on what your skin needs and your personal desires. I can't use Korean BB/CC creams because they don't make any that fit my skintone but if you have the patience to wait on snail mail for a Korean version I say go for it...and if you are fair skin..double bonus because there are plenty of shades to choose from. My personal American faves are Bobbi Brown's BB and CC creams, Smashbox BB cream, and Garnier BB cream for oily/combo skin. All of them play nice on my oily combo skin without giving me unwanted visitors (acne).

In line with what Shelley said, I have used both Korean & American BB creams and I can say without a doubt that the Korean ones are completely different. You get a better coverage, my complexion is more even and my powders/blushes go on better after application. I use them when I need quick full coverage or I know I have an important meeting that day that I need to look good for. I recommend Missha, Holika Holika & Skinfood!

I do love the skin food one but Dior makes an amazing bb cream! its the hydra life one.
