Which ones better for oily skin? also, can it be used just for cleansing and not to remove makeup? I am looking for something that would cleanse my skin and brighten it up in the hot weather. other skin products recommendations would help too.
I have oily skin (no acne) and I live in a super hot humid climate which makes my skin look dull even though its all clean. I am a huge Soap and Glory fan. its products are helping a lot but I still need more goodness.

I don't think a cleansing oil would be good for you. No matter what people claim, oil is the worse thing for oily skin if your trying to control oil.

The oil is just a makeup remover because you don't need to rinse it off and cannot be properly used as a cleanser. Their tea tree line is really nice for oily skin, it's good to clear acne but it's also really nice to just refresh the skin.

I disagree Ashley I have extremely oily skin and I use an oil on my skin at night and my skin is less oily and my skin is clearer since I started using it, the oil I use is the clarins lotus face treatment oil and it's a night time moisturiser :) I highly recommend it

@Ashley but all YouTube bloggers are recommending these to remove makeup..what do you use to remove makeup?

@Brittany I didn't like their tea tree facial wash. I prefer foaming washes for my skin. the tea tree pore minimizer was okay too.

@Lauren I will definitely look for Clarins oil. what do you use to remove makeup for your oily skin? and what other products do you use for your skin?

I disagree with Ashley as well. Oil attracts oil. So many of my clients are afraid of oil but once they make the switch they're so glad they did.

I just use makeup remover wipes to remove my makeup, I don't really have any other skin care products that I love except the clarins face oil

I have EXTREMELY oily skin and oil only made it worse. I was basically dripping. Maybe oil works better for people who are only producing oil because their skin is so dry, but I hate it. Plus it made me break out.
I love bioderma. It's amazing at removing makeup and its really gentle. Plus I've never broken out from it

Also, people normally say they have oily skin because their t zone gets a little shiny throughout the day. Thats not oily, thats just natural.

I have oily skin and using oils at night, at least for me, help make my face less oily during the day. My face use to be so oily that I could scrape it off with a credit card and use it to make a door hinge stop squeaking.

I've got oily skin and have used both. From a practical point of view I prefer the balm, the oil leaks everywhere and is a nightmare!

Both are nice and good at removing makeup but I do use a gentle cleanser after too.

I have oily skin and use oils all the time too. also the chamomile cleansing oil DEFINITELY needs washing off properly! it isn't made to just stay on the skin.
