So lately my skin has been looking dry and has lots of texture. I don't know what it is bc I changed my Lancome oil free Primer and my Lancome 24h wear foundation to Lancomes Vissionaire 1 min blur primer and I purcahsed both Nars Sheer Glow and Weightless All Day Luminous foundation and nothing. I exfoliate every other day or even every 3 days. I even let my face rest from anything and mosturized it with rose hip oil, then an oil free mosturizer and nothing. My makeup looks splotchy, and my skin looks textury,(not a word lol) and dry after 3 hrs of wear. It's so annoying /:
Please help! I don't get what my skin is reacting to bc I have tried it allll. I drink lots of water and mosturize well.

Looks nasty but this is how my akin looks now after 3 hrs of wearing makeup. And I can't get rid of the dry areas on the corner of my nose and face no matter how much I exfoliate or mosturize.

I personally say just go a couple if day WITHOUT putting on any makeup (face makeup at least) and just continue moisturizing etc. for about a week to let it clear up a bit easier, then gradually add on your make up (I.e concealer one, then add foundation the next day...etc) so its easier to see what exactly is irritating your skin.
I just don't think trying to exfoliate and moisturize then turning around and putting makeup on too is doing you any good, probably the opposite

I agree with alysia, definitely go a couple of days without makeup, I find when I wear foundation a lot it gives me patches. Also I would slow down on the exfoliation, I used to do it a lot but honestly I've found that the skin looks and feels better when it repairs itself without harsh things on it. I would exfoliate once a week at the most, but less or not at all if you can, also later your moisturizer!! Ones with vitamin e help skin a lot, and what I do is do a pretty heavy layer all over, then go over with another layer on the dry patchy areas (for me around my nose, chin, and sometimes forehead) and if you want another layer after that! Especially at night when you won't be out, its good to layer moisturizer so your skin can repair really well at night. Hopefully this helps and definitely try to go without exfoliating!! :)

Oh also wash your face with cool/cold water, warm and hot water dry skin out more :)

Agree with these beauties - that looks like some form of dermatitis - and is a skin irritation that can come from cosmetics in general - I would stop everything and go back to basics - just cleanser, toner and moisturizer and nothing else for at least a week or longer to see if it clears up then reintroduce your products one at a time to see what exactly is causing it - and agree to slow down exfoliation to once a week MAX.

I agree, go a few days with out any makeup, then try sleeping with Vaseline on the dry areas! That always helps some for me!

I agree with the ladies above but I must say I wouldn't use Vaseline as it's highly comedogenic (it clogs pores) and your skin has suffered enough for now. Try Argan or Jojoba oil for the dryness instead of Vaseline if you really need to moisturize :) these oils are completely non-comedogenic. (And I think Rosehip is too so if you have that you're good)
Argan oil will stay put a bit better than Jojoba as it's thicker so that's what I would choose.

Diane is pretty spot on in regards to finding out the true culprit to your skin distress and its something that I do myself when I use my skin as a testing ground for skincare/cosmetics. I immediately drop down to the basic of all basic and reach for stuff that contains zero active ingredients.
