Any of you taken biotin pills?
I'm going to start taking 1,000mcg twice a day (so 2k mcg daily)..
Have any of you taken it and how has it helped your nails and hair??
I have brittle, peeling nails and thin hair so I'm hoping this improves both.
Any side effects? I've heard people breaking out awfully because of this..

PLEASE TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING ANY PILLS.
You naturally get biotin through your diet so you could already have healthy levels of biotin. Taking pills could rise your biotin levels to a dangerous level, which could put you in the hospital.
Speak to a doctor firstz

To address your brittle nails and thin hair I would seek out a health professional first.
Your biotin levels may be fine and you might just be deficient in another vitamin, or have something else wrong altogether. Best to address it correctly than thru constant trial/error that can be dangerous.

Brittle hair and nails could be anemia. It's very common in women. Or it could be from thyroid problems. Or it could just be genetics. Definitely see a doctor before taking pills---especially if biotin has side effects and won't even end up helping you.
