How old do you have to be to work at Sephora or Ulta?

Depends on the job. I've looked and certain ones require a cosmetology degree and others you just have to be 16

Why does working at ULTA suck if you don't mind me asking Giana? For that matter how is it working for Sephora, Mac counter or any other makeup counter?

My aunt worked at Ulta as a hair stylist but ended up quitting because they were rude to her and kept giving her ours that didn't work for her and her kids. They basically told her that her kids didn't matter and work was more important.

Yeah don't work at ULTA, it does suck. I recently quit. They're more about getting the customer in and out. God forbid you spend more than 5 minutes with a customer, they'll rip you a new one. Nothing is ever in stock either so every day you'll have customers complaining. I would definitely pick Sephora, they actually have to know make up. Some of the girls I worked with looked like they had never met a blending brush.

you need to be 18 to work at either and you dont need a license. Working for sephora is better. They train you throughout your career. You get uniforms to wear, you are in the know of cutting edge techniques, and you get gratis (free product)

I work at ulta. you do have to be 18 because of the hours they have available. To bs completely honest, I suck at makeup. I'm only a cashier so I dont apply makeup on anyone but I have learned alot from working there. the only difference between ulta and sephora is that sephora is more on the makeup side where ulta is more about sales and selling.
