I want to place an offer soon but I don't know which one to choose. I need your opinion! With makeup geek, I would have to buy a z-palette to hold the shadows, so that is the only downfall.

I think it depends what type of formula and what colors you're after.

With Colourpop, the shadows are more of a creamy, spongey texture, but they also have gorgeous unusual shades. I'm a huge fan of their formula, and I love their shade range, but I dislike having a million loose shadows around because they're hard to travel with.

With Makeup Geek, they're more expensive, but they have a nice range of neutral colors that may interest you. They also have a very nice formula, and yes you'll have to buy a Z palette but even that is more convenient because you're essentially creating your own custom palette that you know you'll use.

Honestly I'd go with Colourpop, because I like them better, but Makeup Geek would be a nice choice as well.

I'm torn between the two as well. I loveeee colourpop but I want to try the makeup geek shadows too. I was trying to decide between ordering the MUG starter kit with 9 shadows which is $49.99 or just getting 10 shadows from colourpop for $50. And like you said, I'd have to buy the z pallet for like $15 too. Which brings my order to like 70 dollars with shipping. Compared to 50 dollars and free shipping on Colourpop. Ugh.
