I really like tubular mascaras for thickening. Blinc is great, but a good drugstore alternative is l'oreal double extend beauty tubes.

I don't see the point in getting an expensive high end mascara when there are so many amazing drugstore mascaras that work just as good, or even better. I recommend Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal mascara, Revlon Bold Lacquer mascara, and Wet N Wild Blackest Black mascara.
My personal routine to getting falsie looking lashes is first using the Revlon Bold Lacquer or Maybelline Pumped Up mascara until I get the desired length and volume I want (this means applying more than one coat). Then I finish it all off with one coat of Wet N Wild Blackest Black mascara. I purely only like this mascara because it is soooo black so it will do an amazing job at defining your light colored lashes. It also makes my lashes very fluffy looking haha. :)
