After trying them all, I'm a huge Dinair fan. Adding airbrush to my services menu has made a HUGE difference in making money, espec for brides and using the paramedical to cover tatties, scars, etc. Of course, I offer HD pro makeup as well. Wondering what you use and like in the Airbrush world, and why ....
I'm a temtpu girl. I like that I'm not limited to different brands with it and if another brand comes out with a makeup that might suit my needs better I'm free to try it without buying a new airbrush.
I was so close to buying a dinair until I realized makeup choices were limited.
I use occ and temptu sb. I use OCC because that's simply what I started with, and decided I wanted some silicon based options as well and that's where Temptu came in.
Im a Dinair girl too, I worked with them for a little while when I lived in Toronto and they opened a counter there, I tried OCC but I felt like it was too liquidy for my liking, it felt damp on my face instead of the way the Dinair foundations felt. I haven't tried many other but I love their colour range and I think it works brilliantly.
There are so many water based and silicone based choices out there it's hard to choose until you've sampled them to make an educated choice. I'd say the most important decision is to get a pro set up that can handle any formula you want to use. Start with whats important - Hope this helps.
I am a Temptu girl and have been happy with them for awhile. I first started with a water based brand that is no longer on the market. I like Temptu's long lasting wear and flexible coverage.
I'm in love with my Iwatta airbrush, apart from looking sleek its great with all the different brands, I use temptu for the bright colors and blush, but I have found the Mac airbrush foundation looks better than all the rest, by far the best foundation Mac has ever bought out!
Ben - I agree that Iwatta make premium airbrushing tools. Do you use their compressor as well?
Which MAC formula is your fave? The water based Face&Body or the silicone airbrush formula?
I have used dinair, temptu and now iwatta. I love my iwatta set up and am using temptu makeups... very interested in trying mac though from the comment above...
I'm a kett girl! One of the more expensive airbrush companies but well worth the money. Silicon and paraben free foundations. Tried dinair and was super disappointed. Like temptu. occ is amazing! It is better do have airbrush foundations that can be applied to every skin type no matter if allergic to certain things or not. I like being prepared and that is why I chose a silicone free foundation (kett and occ)
