Okay I'm going to be honest here, When I was in 3rd Grade, Omg. I WORE TONS of makeup to hide my acne. I was teased a-lot and began wearing makeup ever since. I tried many acne creams and masks and NONE of them work. Any Ideas??

It depends on the type of acne you have. If it is large sore red bumps that are under the skin, its hormonal and you'll need a doctor to give you something to help it. Whiteheads are treated with regular acne medication. You should also be mindful of the type of makeup and washes that you're using on your face because they could be causing your acne as well.

Noting helped me until I went to the dermatologist and got a prescription cream and oral treatment. Might seem expensive but it honestly saves you in the long run

Since it started so early, it seems like it's an issue with internal body chemistry. I think a dermatologist is the best bet. Another girl on here (I think Jaclyn L?) has a similar acne history and accutane was the only thing that worked for her.

Try to have a consistent skincare routine as well, trying out new products constantly before they even have a chance to work isnt going to help much.

I agree with the others here, a dermatologist is usually the best route. Even if you have to go to a couple to get one that will genuinely listen to your concerns. I was on a gel called Aczone and it worked wonderfully. I'm off it now and I notice a difference and I need to go back to a new derm where I live now and get a new script for it because it's flared up very badly lately. But I have been using the Zero Oil line from Origins and it helps a little. It's gentle at the very least. You could also try Clinique's acne solutions. They are basically the closest you can get to prescription products. I find they haven't worked much for me but it does wonders for others. I would start out slow with it though because it can be pretty harsh. But overall the dermatologist is my vote. They give the most effective medications and if you stick with them you will usually see great results.
