Honestly , any compliment is welcome to my greedy ears.
Skin in something we all generally aim to be compliment worthy / simply clear though.
Personality compliments are nice too. Generally , I prefer compliments from the 'right' people though. So like my mum. It feels so nice to be able to know that she thinks nicely of me and my choices of clothing or just general appreciation.

Skin or makeup. I have colored hair, so strangers will compliment it's color whether or not I've even brushed it in a week lol.
It's funny how people say they want compliments from their mom, my mom would find a way to compliment anything, so it's hard to trust it lpl. She told me I looked good when I put eyeliner just on my lower lashes and looked like a droopy panda in middle school, and I can put red lipstick on my cheek in a big circle and she'll be like "aww you look like an adorable runaway clown" lol. Of course she tells me if clothing isn't flattering or something is wrong, like lipstick on the teeth of whatever, but anything that is "creative expression" like makeup, she will ignore it and say I look good or find a unique compliment for it lol. I love her, but if I try out a new makeup technique and am unsure about it she is no help because I could slam my face into an cream eyeshadow palette and she'd still say I look good. Because I'm her baby lol.

Probably skin and hair. My hair is a lost cause because it is damaged from medication. I'd like to hear it from my parents or my husband. My in laws are super supportive a loving. My parents are too just nor vocal.

But the best compliment is when I make someone smile or feel better in some way.
