Hey! I usually apply my foundation with my fingers. I see most videos where people use brushes to apply it. I feel like either way it comes out the same way. But just making sure is brush better?

A brush could be more sanitary in some cases, but for the most part, the brush the end product is the same

I don't know if it's necessarily better especially if you are just applying it to your own face - I see the advantages of using brushes on clients if you are a MUA - but I think it also depends on the foundation itself - I think most are okay (especially drugstore foundation) when applied with fingers and some apply better with a brush - but as long as you like the finish then I think that's what is more important IMO

Brush is definitely better especially if you have oily skin
You see finger moves oily from place to place. Makes your foundation abit useless in a way

Or you can consider sponge.

Just make sure you have the right foundation brush. I used my powder brush just to see if it helps and no...it looks awkward

I actually prefer the way my foundation turns out when I use my fingers. If I use a brush I go back over it with my fingers anyway. It gives a very skin like appearance, depending on the foundation :)

You can make foundation more exact and precise with your fingers. A brush is nice because it is more sanitary, less oily, and you don't have to wash foundation off your hands after.

For me it depends on the formula. I have a few semi-mattes and satin formulas and they look best with a brush or a sponge.

What works for me is using may fingers for most of the application and then my foundation brush to get the crevices around the nose area. Don't forget, if your skin is pretty even and clear you can just concentrate application on the center/ t-zone and chin area of face.
