Estée Lauder Double Wear or Kat Von D Lock It Foundation?

I'm looking to purchase one of these, I want something that will last me all day looking good. However before I pick one, I thought I'd ask for your guys wonderful advice on which one will last me the day with great coverage!

Hi Paola, which double wear? and what kind of finish are you looking for? Because the regular double wear isn't full coverage it's medium to be built up and the Kat von D one is.If you want Max full coverage Estee Lauder Maximum camouflage coverage foundation is awesome! It's in a blue tube. :)

I haven't used Kat Von D, but I'm using Estee Lauder Double Wear now, and I have to say it's fantastic! The coverage lasts through even hot/humid days, the finish is semi-matte, and it's very hydrating. The only thing is be careful because it has a strong scent. It is overall a marvelous foundation!

Hi Alma! I was actually looking at either the Double Wear Light or the the regular one. The lady at the counter told me she didn't recommend the Max because I didn't have as bad a complexion. Asa far as finish goes, I really don't mind what it is!

I've tried both and I vote double wear 100%. I personally disliked the Kvd lock it. DW literally lasts all day looking flawless on me, doesn't transfer, and has great coverage. I agree with Alma, it's definitely med but can be built up to full, but as someone who loves full coverage foundations I never have an issue with this not having enough coverage. The kvd to me looked like a mask, I hated the way it felt on my skin and it looked worse as the day went on. In my opinion both of these foundations are best suited for maybe combo & oily skin types, my face is normal dry. The kvd clung to my dry patches horribly. That's my fault of course since its definitely meant for oiler skin, but so is the DW & I never had those issues with the DW. I'm sure if I didn't prep correctly the DW would cling to dry patches but I always prep my skin well & have a skincare regime that helps with dry areas so luckily I'm able to use double wear because I absolutely love it.

I love KVD. I have oily skin and it lasts all day for me, with occasional powder touch ups on my nose if it's really hot out. Also, it covers my old acne marks so well, only a couple are still even noticeable after I put it on, which is a big reason why I love it so much.
