I really want to buy a contour kit, but I don't know which brand works best? And is it easier to use a cream or powder kit? Help please.

I personally use the Marc Jacobs contour/highlight duo. I attended a contour class at Sephora and that's the palette I chose to use. The product is SO smooth, it literally feels like butter.

The Kat Von D Shade/Light contour palette always has great reviews.. But the 6 shades may be a bit overwhelming for beginner, just my opinion. Maybe once you become more comfortable!

I own the Kat Von D highlight and contour palette I like it, but honestly I love my SmashBox Step-By-Step Contour Trio Stick Trio. It's so easy to work with, it's not messy and super easy to blend.

I would say I have normal-oily skin.

I find the cream easier to work with because it can be blended in to the point where its non existent. I have the same skin type and I like to use Marc Jacobs #instamarc Filtering Powders. Though a little pricey, one purchasing lasted me 1 1/2 years

I have the kat Von d palette and although I do really like it I also love this Kevyn Aucoin contour book it has two contour products a cream and the powder it also has a cream and powder highlight and 4 shadows. I really like that it's easy if your a beginner because it works on all skin tones, it really is undetectable it's pricy but so worth it imo.

Powder is so much better and looks so much natural. I either use sleek contour kit or the anatasia contour kit or smashbox
