Hi ladies, so I received the Sephora VIB Rouge $25 gift card (you have to spend $50). I don't really need anything but I definitely want to take advantage of this :) so what are your suggestions of must haves? Skincare (oily, acne prone but dry right now :(? Makeup (no eyeshadow palettes please)? Perfumes?? I'm open to anything. Thanks for your help!! :)

I'm contemplating this myself, as well! I think personally that I'm going to get the Tatcha Rice Enzyme exfoliator in the full size, since I had a sample of it that I absolutely adored! It's very good for my dry skin, and I felt like it exfoliated beautifully without leaving it more dry, or flaky. It is really wonderful! However, I'm considering whether it may be worth buying a makeup product instead. I've been perusing the Sephora site looking for inspiration =)

Thanks Hannah! And I have been looking for a good exfoliators. I've tried the skin inc revival peel and dr. Brandt dermabrasion but both didn't do too much. Maybe I'll take a look at the Tatcha one :) and I just got the Kevyn Aucoin contour kit in the 20% sale so I don't know... What mascara a do you recommend?

I would go with a perfume I have no idea what kind of scents you like but I got a little sample of ysl black opium and it smells so good. Since you don't really need anything I would just buy something luxurious that You normally wouldn't buy lol that's what I do

Murad skin polish is a great exfoliator, it makes my face literally feel baby soft. My favorite perfumes are YSL black opium and dolce & gabana light blue. They smell so heavenly oh my gosh. Or makeup... Hourglass radiant bronzer light, I love it so much!! I have a 20 off 50 and I have no idea what to get also. I was thinking of getting miss Dior eau de parfum because it has indonesian notes in it but do I really need three perfumes lol...

Oh man, so my favorite mascara of all time ever is the Perfekt Lash Perfection Gel, which on it's own is $28, so you'd still have to get something else, but it really is amazing. It's got a really nice, skinny wand that's great for lengthening and separating your lashes, the formula is nourishing and actually really good for your lashes, unlike other mascaras, and it's incredibly black. It's super easy to use as well. I really recommend it, if you're in the market for mascaras!

So many choices!! :) Thanks ladies! I haven't tried the ysl black opium so I'll definitely look into that. I was thinking of the Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb , got a sample and it smelled bomb!! :)

@Hannah well I think I'll have to take a look at that mascara. Still looking for a HG.

MsL the flowerbomb does smell really good!! I would've bought that if it didn't smell similar to my Mariah Carey one lol, but yes definitely look into black opium. It's very pleasant if you're a coffee lover. It has coffee and vanilla notes while being very light as well.

I like the Shiseido Benefiance Retinol Smoothing Eye Masks

or grab a few Philosophy Purity Ornaments..a gentle, hydrating wash great for most any skin. You can get one yourself and share the others if you need gifts.

Best of luck, that really is my favorite mascara =) I also just bought the Marc Jacobs Decadence perfume and it is absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure what type of perfumes you like but some of my favorites include Prada Candy, Dior Hypnotic Poison and Tom Ford Velvet Orchid, all of which are sweeter, more musky scents. I don't tend to gravitate towards flowery or citrusy scents, personally, so all of my favorites are very caramel-y and sexy.

@Livi I'm not sure how I feel about coffee lol but I'll definitely look into it! :)

@Rozberry I've never used eye masks it would be nice to try. And the purity ornaments sound like a great idea! Thanks!

@Hannah thanks! Good luck to you too :) and I'm with you on the flowery or citrusy scents. I like Gucci guilty and Michael kors sexy Amber. :) I'm into the sweet sexy smells :)

Ooh, Gucci Guilty Black is a favorite as well, it's nice if you want to kick it up a notch from the original Guilty.

These were some of the things I just grabbed at Sephora... I'll get a bit more skin care soon. I'm using my $25.00 off on the Sunday Riley Good Genes if I like it (Went and got a sample today so I'll see...).

Ahhh kitty that tatcha mist is on my list I'm just waiting for it to restock online because the Sephora closest to me doesn't carry it :(

Just tried it out in conjunction with the Rice Powder.. It does have a bit of fragrance in it but did not irritate my sensitive skin or create redness! It didn't seem to bother my blemish either. Hopefully it'll hold up with continuous use! It reminds me of my Clinique Moisture Surge Spray most definitely!

What is the tatcha rice powder?

Dec 3, 2015

Kitty K.

It's an exfoliator that uses Japanese Rice Powder. It's really nice - I bought the travel size which is $15.00 and I'll probably stick to it since you need so little.

'What it is formulated to do:
This creamy, water-activated exfoliant polishes skin daily to a jewel-like luster. Nourishing Japanese rice bran blends with papaya extracts to address fine lines, uneven skintone, hyperpigmentation, and breakouts. Crushed pearl conditions and balances skin while natural exfoliants gently buff away dullness and dead skin cells—leaving skin perfectly prepared for your favorite serum or moisturizer with more effective results. '

'-Japanese Rice Bran: Prized for its skin soothing and smoothing enzymes and rich in gamma oryzanol, a potent antioxidant that protects against UV damage.
-Papaya Extract: Rich in papain, a proteolytic enzyme to exfoliate and soften skin.
-Hadasei-3™ Bioactive Complex: A proprietary blend of green tea, okinawa red algae, and Japanese rice bran extracts to nourish and protect the skin.'

So I decided to treat my skin to some new products. I have dry flaky skin right now but I'm usually oily. I have acne prone skin and use topical treatment at night. Looking for a good night cream/daytime moisturizer/serum/cleanser? (And of course sold at Sephora) :)

@Kitty there's 3 types of the rice powders, which one do you recommend?

I went with the classic cause that was the only travel size available! There's not much of a big difference in them other than vanity (Fragrance mostly.)

I really wanna try that now lol. I was going to purchase miss Dior eau de parfum but now I'm undecided
