I have Benefit's Porefessional face primer but as much as I wish it would work for me it just doesn't! After I get out the shower I moisturize my face with Shea butter and then I put the primer on and let it sit while I get dressed. Then once I start putting on my foundation my pores seem to be even more visible! I use a matte foundation so I thought that was the problem but even with my BB cream my pores still show through. I work at Ulta Beauty so if you know of any primers that are sold there that might work would be a plus so I can use my discount lol! Or if you know a silicone based foundation that would work well with Benefit's primer.

If you have any advice on how to minimize pores as far as skincare products go I would appreciate that as well.

Maybe its the Shea Butter? What do you use? And what would you say your skin type is?

Do you apply the primer in a patting/pressing motion or do you just apply it like a moisturizer?

Like Kitty mentioned, it could be the way you're applying the primer. However, I didn't LOVE this primer even when applied correctly & used with the right products. I haven't found one that I really love to diminish the appearance of pores but having a good skin care routine will make more of a difference than any primer can. I suggest a chemical exfoliant (not mechanical) and a good mask. Depending on your price range you'd like to spend I'd be happy to suggest some products for you. I'm trained in Dermalogica, Eminence and Image products but I've tried many other brands if you're looking for something less expensive.

I use elfs mineral primer, it smells a little bad to me but I can take it, she. You put it on your skin feels like silk. In my opinions it does hide pored

UPDATE: when I didn't use the Shea butter it did much better at hiding pores but my skin was dry underneath. I guess I just need a different moisturizer

Thanks Sarah N. and Kitty, your advice really helped. Sarah O. The elf primer didn't work for me at all! I wish it did thought because it's really affordable
