I love the Kat Von D Shade + Light Palette! The contour shades are so pigmented so a little goes a long way and they blend so smoothly and easily. The highlight shades are nice and brightening as well. I highlight recommend it (:

I highly recommend the Lorac Pro Contour kit. I have 2 Anastasia Palettes and they are easy to blend and pigmented but the colors are too 'warm' to be used for contour. And the highlighting powders were cakey even though I placed so little. The Lorac palette is so velvety. I actually use all shades but the light contour shade. The medium shade, I use to bronze/warm up my face then the deep to contour. I use the two matte highlight shades for under my eyes, forehead, and bridge of the nose. They wear so nicely and blend like a dream! I love the palette.

I find that unless you are a makeup artist, colors go to waste in palettes. One will be too dark and one will be too orange etc. I use my favorite bronzer (Estee Lauder bronze goddess in medium), favorite contour (Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder in medium) and favorite highlighter (theBalm Mary Luminizer) far more often.

I just bought the Kat von d pallette 2 days ago, used it for the past 2 days and let me tell you, it is incredible. I am sooooo picky with products for contouring from the colours, to how they set, to their lasting power and I was actually incredibly impressed on all fronts. I did an 11 hour sweaty shift at work with running around the whole time but my makeup still looked amazing at the end of the night and I didn't use a setting spray.
