LA Girl Matte Pigment Lipgloss. Disappointed with the darkest shade:( or did I just get a bad one?

I have purchased a few of these and was so excited for the darkest shades. I must say that the lighter shades are so much more pigmented and the dark ones aren't. I'm wearing Black Currant on its own here and you can see in some spots its blotchy. I've applied 3layers. Of course waiting for each one to dry and I still am not happy. It made me think maybe I got a bad one?? If that makes sense or can anyone relate??

I think your best bet would be to find a lip liner closest to the colour and fill your lips in with that first, I don't think you got a bad batch I've seen bad reviews about the dark shades being streaky, sometimes that just happens with darker liquid lipsticks. That colour looks bomb on you though!

I had a problem with the darkest one I had being blotchy it was a burgandy color one the name doesn't come to mind though sorry 🙈

I always have to apply at least two layers of the dark ones, in thin layers and with a lip brush instead of the applicator, or else they look patchy no matter how careful I am. I really do want to throw all kinds of hate at the applicator.. I would complain about the extra work but they do hold up well and for a while on me and they are super cheap. oh and always make sure to shake liquid lipsticks! I didnt realize that until jeffree star mentioned it
