I have seen this suggested many times here in the BL threads to keep color vibrant etc. Could this be done with a demi permanent dye? I'm just a bit confused as to how the color develops if your not adding developer to the mixture as well. Any answers would be greatly appreciated as I hate the damage my hair gets from permanent dye but hate having to dye it with the demi permanent so dang often. THANKS!

This only works with vegi dyes (I'm 90% sure) dye with chemicals have to be used as soon as they are mixed :)
But you can look into Revlon Color bombs, is a hair mask with dye in it - I used it in red, purple, platinum and right now I use it in light beige :) Its by fare my favorite hair product!

I used them to, but they nerd already dyed hairs to "stick" to them. the colors are very pretty! unused the purple, red and orange ones.

Thank you for clearing that up for me Sabrina! I'll look into those. Right now I'm just using a light ash brown to cover my growing out highlights:(
