Want to dye my hair but worried about the damage?

Lately I've been thinking about dying my hair black& red (not sure about the placement yet, maybe streaks?) but I've also been trying to grow my hair out for a while, so I'm worried about how damaging it could be. My hair's a pretty dark brown color& is curly so I'd assume I'll need bleaching in the red areas, also I'm worried about the frizz from the damage. I've bleached& dyed my hair before with semi permanent colors (which is what I would want to go with this time too) although it was done by my friend, and this time I would want it done professionally. My main questions that I have are;

How damaging would it be if I got my hair colored/bleached, and is there any way I could decrease the damage? (Maybe instead of a bright red I'd go with a burgundy so it wouldnt need bleaching/coconut oil masks/etc) or would it be the same?

Would growing out my hair take as long as it normally does if I dye it?

Would the damage effect my hair a lot when I leave it natural& curly? (Frizz/shine/split ends/etc)

I dyed my curly hair and it didn't damage it much at all I used dye that bleaches + dyes , I just made sure to condition a bunch after , my hair is a little drier now but its not a terrible difference or anything.

I think you should be fine, professionals use a treatment on your hair before they dye it to protect your hair from damage

I coloured my hair at home and another time at the salon and I never had damaged hair from dying. Go for it girl! :)

I went to the salon and got mine ombre. after I took a shower I just put coconut oil starting from where the color started to the ends of my hair. my hair was fine and even softer than before I colored it!
