In Australia it's spring but it feels like summer weather anyways I have to go to a school camp and we are doing horse riding. I don't want to wear jeans on a hot day. Any suggestions?

I ride western so jeans are my best friend but for those days when you want something more high fashion they make English riding pants. They look great with a white T shirt and some high riding boots. From experience I always bring shorts or something cool to change into after the ride.

I ride English and from personal experience jeans and jodhpurs (English pants) have no temperature difference. :/ I'd recommend wearing either some old jeans (they'll get dirty) or old leggings. Jodhpurs are really expensive and it's not worth buying them if your not going to ride seriously. This all being said DO NOT WEAR SHORTS. This is a big no no in riding as it can be dangerous and very uncomfortable. You can however wear tanks tops. Also, as franki said above you can bring shorts to change into after you ride if you'll be working in the barn. Have fun!!

I've been horseriding in the summer a couple of times and have always worn thicker leggings. You can buy jodhpurs but they can be expensive but are worth it. I wore a plain tshirt too and it's always good to have a stable pair of riding boots but a pair of pull on leather Chelsea boots will do too.

I've been horse back riding, and I would recommend if you don't want to wear jeans maybe cropped leggings,
I've worn shorts once and it annoyed me so much, they kept rising and wasn't comfortable at all! But have fun! :)
