I feel like every time I try to cover it you can still see it like thru my skin and I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. My first day of school tomorrow so I really don't want to look bad😭 I have this stubborn pimple that I accidentally popped and now it's all red and I don't know how to cover it please help. If you need a picture I can send one just ask:-)

Use a high coverage concealer and a good strong brush with foundation and make sure to set it with a powder x

Try a color corrector. I have a green one and I put it over my red acne spots and then I put my concealer or foundation over that. The green cancels the red and keeps it from showing under your makeup :)

It depends is it a raised bump? Unfortunately you can't cover the fact there is a bump there but you can take away the redness n help it look like normal skin - you should try a concealer with a green corrector already built in - I like the Clinique acne solutions concealer it makes my bumps look exactly like my normal skin tone - no more redness - then if it's really bad I will layer over that with a full coverage cream concealer (my favorites are by MUFE, KVD, and dermablend) the set it with setting powder so it stays put all day and that's how I cover my red bumps.

Makeup will cover the redness, but the bump will show regardless which I think a lot of people forget. Focus on taking care of your skin with cleansers and spot treatments to minimize your pimples.

Something I think is really important is to do your makeup in THIN layers, do not cake the makeup on in hopes of more coverage as that usually tends to give the skin a rougher texture and makes acne all the more noticeable.

Primer- a green primer could help you get rid of your redness if you do find the redness is wide spread and all over your face. These tend to blend to the skin a bit more naturally than the concealers do so they're great if you've got large amount of acne but don't want lots of layers of product on your face. You can also get a silicone based "blurring" primer that will give your skin that blurred out effect, this smooths out the skin and does help minimize the intensity if you've got a lot of inflamed pores and smaller pimples.

Foundation- I find the best thing to do is to use a medium coverage foundation. Your foundation is NOT a concealer, and using it as such can result in cakiness and draw more negative attention to your face. A medium coverage natural finish foundation will even out your skin tone and assist with the redness but still allow your actual skin to peek through.

Concealer- you could find some solace in a green concealer, it will conceal the redness which usually really is the biggest problem when it comes to those little face demons. Apply with a concealer brush for precise application. I recommend doing this before foundation as the foundation will then even out all the colour but the green spots may look a bit more sallow so it will be easier to cover with concealer. As for your flesh tone concealer you want to ensure this is an exact match to your foundation, concealer that is too light or too dark will only draw the eyes towards what you're trying to conceal. Precise application is key, you do not need to cover a large area just the pimple itself. Use a full coverage concealer for this so you don't need a bunch of layers.

Darlene the one I use is a cheap one from the drug store. It's the physicians formula duo concealer or something like that. One end is green and the other is a skin color, but the skin colored one is useless because they only come in 3 shades. There are other options and Diana and Brittany had some good suggestions as well:)

I have a huge pimple right on the tip of my nose. it's like 3/4 of a centimeter in diameter and super super red. I covered it with just the maybelline fit me concealer (I couldn't find my green concealer 😔. its pretty thick so it did the job. but I would definitely recommend a green concealer because it'll diminish the redness. then use a regular concealer and then set it with powder.

ew rly bad picture. but that's my nose 😂😂😂 it stayed all day at school (-:

Try using a drop or two of eyedrops meant for red eyes prior to using makeup it'll tone down some redness.

Also try a good fuller coverage concealer and a color-corrector I believe NYX makes one in their HD concealer and the pot concealer.
I'd mix the green with your regular concealer to get a more green toned skin color and then apply another thin layer of your concealer but this time without the green.
The first layer has the green and isn't too green to where you'd see it over the makeup and then the second layer just adds warmth so it doesn't look too neutral due to the concealer neutralizing the red

I believe the HD concealer from NYX is $5 and it may be the price of their full coverage jar concealer but I'm not sure nor am I sure that they have a green shade with that particular product.

The green jar concealer by NYX, is really thick. They also have a color corrector that's green and comes in a tube,I use it on my full face as I have a pretty red face. It gives a light feeling but good redness coverage!
