I have one and I love it! It's the best straightener I've ever tried. I think it just adapts to the texture of the hair to determine the heat, I'm not sure but with my coarse dry and thick hair it work Great!

Thank you for your answer. I never use mine over 340 and for bangs..much lower. For fine, color treated hair like mine, this wouldn't be something I'd want to use regularly. How odd that you cannot regulate temp. I love my Babyliss Pro, but the color is very cute. Don't forget that heat protectant and enjoy.
