I'm not here to ask for outfit advice or what mascara to buy. This goes out to all the people who feel down about themselves. I just wanted to say that everyone is beautiful in their own way and you don't need anyone to tell you that. With or without makeup, you are queens. Embrace yourself. I feel like it's time to accept ourselves for who we are, right?

What does pretty even mean? Like seriously, the definition of pretty has changed over the course of centuries. Pale used to be a HUGE fad and now tan is "in"

Thanks Isabella! I agree- following trends can be so controversial. Kylie Jenner may look good with big lips, but I don't like how big my lips are. Cara delevine might have beautiful brows, but not everyone can rock them. Thanks again!

😊Yeah, I just feel like people continue to doubt themselves and their physical appearance. God made us the way that we are. WE ARE BEAUTIFUL 🙋🏻🙋🏼🙋🏽🙋🏾🙋🏿🙋

I appreciate your intention, but feel it is counterintuitive to single out pale as a fad and tan as in. Pale isn't a fad for those of us with Baltic bloodlines...and tan isn't trendy for many lades either, but instead heritage..family. I found the comparison in a thread encouraging everyone to be themselves as...misplaced. Indeed, the entire spectrum of skintones contains beautiful people.

I love this and agree with the statement that tan is "in"- she is referring to how women tan non stop to change their coloring which goes back to insecurity thus being you're beautiful the way you are (:

Lilee, I personally don't believe women who tan do so because they are insecure. It is like saying women who change their hair color do so because they don't like or accept who they are. I'm not changing my lip color out of insecurity..lol I'm sure there are people of every skin tone that struggle with loving themselves..and I understood the post to be well meaning in any event, but wanted to note that skin tone is often cultural. Naturally it is lovely to see all variations embraced; that's ultimately what matters. Speaking from a pale lady perspective. I'm not "out" or "in". I simply "am"...My best to you.

Hey roz I agree with you that tan is not "in" everywhere I just got back from the Philippines and everyone there wants to be pale - so although it may be "trending" in certain areas - it's not the case everywhere... In fact most Asian countries use skin whitening products to become more pale - and that's in right now... Regardless of what's in and what's not in - I think we all should embrace our skin color, hair color, and everything else about ourselves and be happy - but that doesn't mean we can't do whatever it is that makes us feel beautiful - like wearing makeup or getting a tan or coloring our hair - yes we are all beautiful and unique but we are also independent and so long as you do what makes you happy then more power to you - a happy you is a beautiful you :)

Diana, Such a wonderful addition to this discussion. Thank you so much for both understanding my post's intention and for adding such a thoughtful response. I truly feel where Isabella is coming from and so that warms the heart. We all agree self-love and appreciation of culture is indeed beautiful!

I agree 100% with Diana, I always have so many people telling me that o don't need to wear makeup because I'm beautiful without it, or I don't need to colour my hair all the time because its "just not natural" and I just tell them that that is their opinion and they shouldn't tell me what I should want to do with my body. I know I'm beautiful without makeup, sometime I don't even wear it, I just love makeup and I hope to pursue a career in makeup so I like to practice on myself. I doesn't matter whether you go all natural with your hair/makeup or you go full glam everyday, either way you are beautiful and no one can talk you otherwise<333.

@ Rozberry loved this section of your comment I'm not "out" or "in". I simply "am". Reminds me of a story I heard during guided meditation. All I had to say on this topic lol :)
