Anything that implanted within your skin is never a good thing. If you have a bad reaction you to go in and have it removed and even then still wait for the drugs to run its course out of your body. I'm not a fan of any of these new bc drugs coming out due to the frightening scare with the patch. I was on it for only 6 months when my doctor discovered 3 blood clots in my body. I was experiencing all these horrible side effects and luckily he took the time to run a battery of tests on me to see what was wrong. If I came in a day later I probably would've been dead. I know you asked about the implant but I too read all the bad reviews on it but I still insisted that my doctor give me the stupid patch. My point is this....if you see more bad reviews than good and its relatively new to the market I would say to leave it alone and investigate a method that has a longer track record. What they really need to do is hurry up and get the male bc method to the marketplace....its about time they take on the responsibility.lol

I don't reccomend it. Very dangerous. I stay away from the pill or any hormonal treatment I use a copper Iud. The high dose is not healthy and the side effects are scary.

Good choice. I think you should deathly going out Shirl. Anything that's been implanted in you seem shady and the Hymount hormones is scary. I think you should try out a copper IUD it has no hormones. Hormones can do damage my friends been taking the pill for many years and she recently went off of it and she had panic attacks every day. Apparently that is a side effect so she had to go back on the pill

Hormones definitely don't sit well with some people but neither does the copper iud. Honestly it took a bit of trial and error for me to settle on the nuvaring. It just depends really on how your body reacts to it

I don't recommend it. My friend had it & it was pulled out accidentally. My cousin got pregnant on the shot. Patches are horrible. I also, use the iud its a safe private method.

Got to be honest the IUD is great for me because it's hormone free but it is quite painful and it's hard to get used to How Everiver pretty low pain tolerance and I've had IUD for two years now. It's quite a hasslefree form of birth control

The IUD is great but mine hurt so bad I had to get it taken out. I wish I would have just fought through the pain and kept it because it was so convienet, but damnnnn...it hurt!

If you can deal with the pain and longer periods get the iud. I had it for 2 years til my crazy heavy periods pushed the iud to where it was dangling out. I did like the lack of hormones and that it was hassle free. fortunately those symptoms don't affect everyone as intensely and they tend to get better over time. Just not for me :)

I had the IUD put in a little over a year ago. I havnt had a period since! there was a little pain the day it got placed but other than that, its been pain free. five years free of babies and not having to remember to take anything. its was the best option for me.

Hey the copper Iud is a hormone free form of birth control, it's a small t shaped object made of copper, it's placed inside your cervix. It prevents the egg from implanting and copper is also said to kill Sperm. If can be painful for the first few periods but after that its okay.

My periods didn't get heavier or longer, just more pain. I think of it as preparation for childbirth lol. It's a really hassle free form if bc tho

Oooh okay I should get that instead of using bc, is it true bc can keep you from having kids in the future if you take it for too long?
