Solves a lot of foundation woes

Finally, a company out there that gets it. That skin tones come in a multitude of beautiful shades and like so, skin types range from (seemingly) perfect to problematic. And while customizable foundation is certainly nothing new, cover fx drops is certainly the result of smart and forward thinking -and not just because of its unique versatility. While I love the fact that I can add this to almost anything in my skin care "apothecary", I am most appreciative of the fact that I can now easily blend my foundation color with spot-on accuracy. I purchased two colors (a warm yellow based and a neutral-cool red based) for my skin tone because I knew that, despite the effort, cover fx would not have one color for me. I think for most people, this will be the case, unless you are lucky enough to have one flat skin color that doesn't change with age or vary from season to season. Yes, this is a pricey product, but definitely worth it. It is potently pigmented and will last quite a while because there is so much you can do with it and so little that is needed. Though it is not intended this way, I actually prefer wearing it alone on my moisturized skin - I've had no problems whatsoever. Two drops yield impeccable, all-day coverage with little need for concealer or color correcting. And sometimes, it stops there. The color and coverage I can blend for my face is so natural looking that I am totally comfortable walking around in public like the bared faced beauty I've always wished I could be. This has instantly become my holy grail product, and while there are other fantastic formulations out there, I don't know that I will find another product that offers so much control.

GOOD GAWD!

Pagan - this color will have you praising the beauty gods!! I knew I wanted this color from the moment I saw it, and I'm so glad I didn't wait. This vampy, gothic, deep, dark, blackberry purple will be a total sell out. Find it and get it. It is truly a universal shade. To make it more daytime wearable, I apply a teeny, tiny amount mixed with clear lip gloss and blot, or apply it then remove it and add lip balm. This color is so intense, it will leave a grape Kool Aid stain that can actually be quite pretty.

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE

These rainbow shadows are insanely cute! 3 little shadows in one little pan, they really catch the eye. I purchased 115 and 109, the purple and green shades, and the quality is just outstanding. Grabbing more of these to expand my extensive shadow range even further.

CHEAPER THAN MUFE AQUA SEAL

And does the same thing. What I like about this product is that it contains less ingredients than its contender, which I'd like to believe might be better for your eyes or any other place you use it. And this is a better value, allowing you to get 1 1\2 times the amount for less than the price of one MUFE aqua seal bottle (retails for $21, last time I checked). The only slight difference I find between this product and the MUFE is that MUFE dries a bit quicker and very hard. You have a little bit more time working with Duraline.

I don't use this to "rehydrate" my gel liners though. I purchased isododecane, a top ingredient in many water proof cosmetic formulas, at very low cost ($4 for 4 oz). This works like a charm with any cracked, crumbly, dried out gel liner. A few drops added to marinate in the gel liner for less than ten minutes, and it's amazingly brand new and almost better than before. I get more pigmentation out of my gel liners, surprisingly. It's very simple, and the bottle I have will last for decades, as it has a very long shelf life.

A PINK PURPLE DREAM

This is just what I was looking for. This highly pigmented lip paint is BEAUTIFUL as an all-over lip color, but I purchased it mainly as a highlight color for some of my darker purple lipsticks. It's not lavender or lilac, its a soft purple with just the right amount of pink to it, so that it doesn't lean blue. Just perfect! The price is great, the product size is standard, it is not terribly sticky or shiny, and has a slight fruity scent.

In place of foundation...

I use this over an earthy peach color corrector on my archnemesis dark circles. It is not as creamy as your typical cream concealer, with a drier consistency (oil free) that is perfect for my OILY skin. Perfect, in fact, that it does not break me out if I accidentally sleep in it. So I wouldn't recommend this for beauties with dry skin.

It is rather thick and HIGHLY pigmented, similar to Dermablend concealer. The packaging could be improved, as the first one I got the lid seperated in two pieces. I did by a second one for a back up. I also put some in a three gram jar to take with me in my purse, but it lasts all day after I powder so I've never needed a touch up. Yeah, it's waterproof!

The color I have, Deep Tan, literally disappears into my skin, so well that I don't have to waste extra time trying to blend out the edges. I use a small concealer brush, and pat blend in to perfection. So my search for the perfect concealer match has (for now) ended. I also own Tan and Honey, which I use for subtle highlighting.

Deep Tan might be a great color choice for you also, if you are a golden brown like me, which MAC would refer to as NC42.
