Good, but not the best!

I really like the coverage for this foundation, it's a light to med coverage and it blends really well. It's probably my favorite foundation I found so far.
However, I recently started noticing that it's been moving around my face, even with a powder of the top. I really hope that it's just the weather. But I will do an update soon!

Hmmm... I think I like you

Pros
1) Lightweight -- If you hate the feeling of super heavy, cakey, thick foundation, you'll love this formula. When you pour this from the bottle you'll immediately see that it's pretty thin which gives that feeling that you're not wearing makeup

2) Coverage -- This foundations is VERY buildable. The coverage can actually be pretty intense if you want to build it up. The buildable coverage + the thin formula makes it very comfortable to get full coverage too.

3) Color Range -- I always struggle to find something that matches me perfectly. Some foundations are too red, too yellow, too dark, too ashy, etc. I can pretty much wear any of the 7's at different times of the year.

CONS
1) Longevity -- I do live in South Texas, so humidity here is kind of rough during the summer, but I always feel like towards the end of the day my face gets oily and I don't want to touch it because I'll start getting makeup on EVERYTHING.

2) Thin formula -- I know this is what gives it the lightweight feeling, but if you're not careful this will show ALL the texture on your skin. I absolutely MUST exfoliate before I use this or else I see all the little pores across my nose.

Overall, I really like this foundation. This could definitely be my go-to foundation if I find a primer to go with it. Anything that can both smooth and mattify really well would really push this into HG status. On its own, it's okay.

Covers All the Bases! Straddles Quality and Pricing between Maybelline and Revlon Foundations

I have tried various foundations from Revlon, Maybelline, and Rimmel, but I have to say that L'Oreal's true match makeup is my favorite drugstore foundation, and one of my favorite liquid base makeup formulations overall (that's including BB creams, tinted moisturizers, powder/cream/liquid foundations) for coverage, shade match, finish, staying power, breathability, ease of application, and a little sun protection to boot.

I matched to W4 Natural Beige. This line of foundation has the widest shade selection I've seen at a whopping 32 shades spanning warm/yellow/olive, neutral, and cool/rosy/pink undertones. It's fairly easy to match shades to the inside of your wrist while browsing in-stores because the bottle is clear and the shades are true between in-bottle and on-application, with little-to-no oxidation. It gives even, natural-looking, medium and buildable coverage (not dewy, not too matte), it's not exactly lightweight but it still feels comfortable to wear, and it lasts 8+ with setting powder over it.

It also does not smell strong—in fact I can't smell anything from the bottle—compared to foundations from Revlon, Maybelline, and Rimmel. It's a little surprising it doesn't even smell like sunscreen, because it has a decent amount of sun protection ingredients backing its SPF17 (still recommend an actual sunscreen product underneath). The formula is oil-free, but as someone with combo-oily skin, I normally find myself blotting at least once during the 8 hours that I try to stretch my wear over. This foundation sets well though and doesn't transfer while I'm blotting.

At $7–11 for 1oz (30ml) of quality product, this foundation is my happy medium between the cost effectiveness and lightweight wear of Maybelline foundations and the coverage and staying power of the more expensive Revlon foundations.

Amazing Coverage. Flakey for dry skin

I honestly don't understand why people are saying that this foundation has "poor coverage." I personally think the coverage is AMAZING, although it did lose a star because it's cakey and flakey for dry skin. Even when I added moisturiser. It also loss half a star because toke me forever to take one layer of it off. I don't think I'm going to repurchase this produce again but I will definitely use up the bottle. :)

Conclusion: Perfect if you have acne, redness and/or oily skin. Good coverage. Long lasting. Not so good for dry skin.

It's not for me

I decided to try this foundation because I'm very pale and it's difficult for me to find a good color match. I was so excited when I saw that the True match foundation line had 21 shades. I knew there had to be one for me in there. Well there was! I was extremely excited about that. Porcelain W1 is a perfect match for me skin tone. That I was very excited about. However, the coverage is terrible. I wear foundation to cover up acne scars and redness. It covered the redness a little bit but you could still see it. It did nothing for the dark acne scars that I have. I probably will not repurchase this because of the terrible coverage. If L'oreal came out with a more medium coverage version of it I would definitely try it again. So, to sum everything up this foundation had a great color selection but the coverage was terrible. If you have pretty good skin then this would be great for you. If you have any type of scarring or acne then this product will not help you at all.

I recently decided to give this another try. I put it on at around 10 in the morning. I used a powder on it because without one the skin looks quite shiny. Within an hour or two my face was shiny again. After a little bit longer my face felt like a total oil slick. I don't believe that I will reach for this foundation ever again.

No coverage

Everyone claims that this is one of the best foundations ever, but unless you have perfect skin with no blemishes, you're screwed. It is sooo watery! I'm surprised it doesn't evaporate on my hand before I apply it. As soon as I tried this, I took it back. I don't care how buildable something is if you have to apply 15 layers to get a decent amount of coverage.

True Match but disappointed

I usually don't bother with store brand foundation. However, I tired this one among many others and found this to be the perfect match. It offer very light coverage, as the day goes on it wears off. It also leave my face greasy. Not buying again .

Looks great on but because of the high silicone content, I will probably not repurchase.

Decided to try out L'Oreal True Match Foundation when I found it on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart. The price for this varies drastically from drug store to drug store here in Canada, so I would definitely wait for a sale or shop around for the best deal.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation comes in a glass vial with a tiny twist off cap. It would have been really nice if this came with a pump because the opening is quite big and it's hard to control how much product you pour or tap out. I also feel like I'm cross contaminating the product every time I use it because I try to tap out just enough product on the back of my hand. There's fine gold luster in this foundation but it isn't noticeable once applied.

This foundation spreads and blends like a dream but it feels silicone heavy. The coverage is medium to full and quite build-able and doesn't look as cakey compared to other build-able foundations. The other nice thing about this foundation is that it minimizes the look of pores and fine lines, and continues to look nice through out the day. I did notice a few times when I wore it for over 7 hours, my foundation would look like it slipped. I don't know how else to explain it. It just looks like my foundation shifted south bringing any blush, bronzer, and highlight along it. Yes it is as gross as it sounds.

Unfortunately the shade that I purchased is a tad too dark for me and I've been back and forth on whether or not to purchase a lighter color. I really do enjoy this foundation, but I really hate the feeling of silicone base products. I'm still thinking about the lighter shade, but I will probably not repurchase.

What are your thoughts on super smooth silicone in cosmetic products?

Steer Clear

This foundation, to me, is SO disappointing. The coverage according to the product is "medium "....its light. The overall consistency is so liquidy, it feels almost greasy in your hands. Not to mention, this foundation is a JUMPER! First off, because the coverage is so light, if I use any brush to apply it, it leaves streaks. Second, if you put your hand next on your face after applying (even with powder) the product will jump from your face to your hand. NOT STAMP...but completely jump. Final words: this product retails for about $8.00.....I wouldn't pay $0.08

Looooove this

I adore this foundation! I managed to find a shade that matches my skin perfectly. I can wear it as a regular foundation or mixed with moisturizer to give a lighter coverage.
