Beauty Product Reviews

Great coverage, Easy on the skin around the eyes, blends beautifully

I received this in the latest NewBeauty Test Tube and while I havent purchased anything from Neutrogena in a long time that I like (besides the eye makeup remover), I am seriously reconsidering their makeup products. This eye pen is a really good dupe for the YSL Touche Eclat. It isn't as luminescent, but I like that. The light color is absolutely perfect for my medium skin tone in the summer. It covers beautifully, and you can build the coverage really easily. It hasn't left any creases under my eyes in my fine lines and really brightens up my entire face. My only gripe with this product is that it takes about 2 minutes for the product to come through the brush. It might be just mine, but what I do is I turn it 3 or 4 clicks, then i carry on with my routine. After a couple minutes I am ready for the concealer and by then it has all come out. I wish it didn't do this because I can imagine needing it in a hurry and having to wait would be a huge pain in the ass. Hopefully mine is just a bad one. Other than that, I will absolutely be recommending this to my friends!

Gorgeous

This color is beautiful. The consistency is perfect! It's balmy and non-sticky, and leaves a gorgeous color on your lips that stays on forever. I'm really impressed with this and will be buying most of the other colors (I have rendezvous also and it's equally as gorgeous) once they are back in stock!

Great coverage, but more important BEST eyeshadow primer EVER!

I used to use this when I was bartending because it REALLY covers well, has a nice finish, and doesn't budge. It lasted all night, even when I was working my butt off. I never wanted to "waste" my high end foundations when I was behind the bar, because no one is ever close enough to notice the difference. One day I was in a huge rush to get to work and I used it on my eyelids and just threw my eyeshadow over it without using a primer. When I got home from my 9 hour shift, I noticed that my eyeshadow did not even kind of budge. It was in perfect place, like I just did it! From that point on, I've been using this as my eyeshadow primer. I like it even better than Urban Decay's primer potion because it acts as a concealer and primer in one, and its an OUNCE for what, 10 bucks? I've literally been using it for about 3 years now, and I plan on purchasing it again when I run out.

Highly pigmented, great smudger, doesn't stay put.

I first decided to try this because I ran out of my Dior liner and I wanted to try something less expensive (Found it on ebay for 9$). I loved it - at first, because it's so highly pigmented you don't have to tug on your eyelids at all. But a few hours later, it had ended up way in the inner corners of my eyes and my tear ducts, and somehow on my lower lash line as well. Total bummer. I tried it a few more times with the exact same results. Definitely going back to Dior's pencil or even Estee Lauder's Softsmudge Artist's pencil.

Obsessed. Moisture + Color = LOVE

I wish I found this years ago. This is the best lip balm I have ever used. Not only is it super moisturizing, it is the PRETTIEST, most versatile color. Absolutely gorgeous. You can use it lightly for a super light wash of pink, or layer it on (and on) for a more coral-red color that I can't imagine not suiting every single skin tone. You can wear it during the day lightly, and then put more on at night for a face-brightening lip color. It's cheery and beautiful. I really can't say enough good things. I have perpetually dry lips and besides this being an awesome color, it's totally helping heal me up. It's smooth and creamy and feels wonderful on your lips.
