NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

Festive yellow greens and cherry reds in Carolina Herrera's spring collection expressed the freshness and vibrancy of the season. MAC makeup artist Diane Kendal captured this clean and feminine look in a softer version for the face.

MAKEUP

Diane first applied MAC Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 with a MAC 190 Foundation Brush to lightly hydrate and even the skin. She applied MAC Select Cover-Up where needed, and contoured under the cheekbone with MAC Pro Sculpt Sculpting Powder Pro Palette using a MAC 129 Powder Blush Brush. She gently blended MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby downwards on the cheeks into the contour, and lightly dusted MAC Blush in Modern Mandarin (available Spring/Summer 2012) over the apples of cheeks. MAC Iridescent Powder in Silver Dusk was highlighted over the high planes of the face.

For the eyes, Diane first applied MAC Paintstick in Pro Deep Brown with a MAC 242 Shader Brush over the lid, blending upwards with a clean MAC 217 Blending Brush to diffuse the edges. She lined the upper lash line with MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack using a MAC 209 Eyeliner Brush. Diane coated lips with MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Ultra Darling and dabbed the center of the lips with MAC Lipstick in Dish It Up (available Spring/Summer 2012). To add a hint of shine, she finished with a swipe of MAC Preferred Pink Trend Lipstick Palette (available Spring/Summer 2012).
