Hey what's up everyone? I did this make up tutorial inspired by Miss. Universe 2010. I didn't watch the pageant but I was watching Sexy Phil's newest video. He showed a picture of Miss. Universe 2010 and I really loved her eye make up. I'll show that picture right now. I love that smoky eye. It's usually my favorite type of smoky eye. I just thought I'd do the tutorial when I saw her picture. She's really, really pretty. I also use one of my new pigments in this tutorial. If you went to learn how I did this look, then stay tuned.
I know my lighting's a little weird today. I think it's just the way the sun is shining. I apologize. I look like I'm glowing or something. Anyways let's go ahead and start with the tutorial. I already did this eye and I'm going to put on lashes and all that stuff. Then prime with Painterly Paintpot by MAC, which is an eye shadow primer.
I've been getting a lot of questions about eye shadow primers, is it necessary? I feel like it is necessary. Some people may not but the colors show up more vibrant and it prevents it from creasing. It's a primer, just like a face primer. It makes it last longer, it makes the colors more vibrant, makes it not crease throughout the day.
I'm going to take my Lorac palette, I got this a long time ago, but I think they still sell it at Sephora. I'm taking that white color right there. This is a bit shimmery but it's more on the satin color side. I'm just putting this as my highlight. I'm taking Fixed Plus and one of my pigments. This is a dark brown it's called Favori. Now I'm going to fix my brush, I'm going to spray my brush with Fixed Plus. At a distance I'm going to dip it in that pigment and then I'm just going to place this on my entire lid.
I'm going to put on powder to catch the fall out. Sorry, I forgot. Sorry, I know I'm really quick so I'll just do that. I'm going to go ahead and pat this on my lid. Now I'm taking Sigma 217 brush, it's just like a dome brush. I'm going to take, this is NARS' 9947 palette, there, and it's called Seribia #2 blends in my crease. Not too far up, this is just kind of blending out the harsh lines. I'm going to wipe away that powder. Before I do the kind of like liner underneath, I'm going to put on my under eye concealer. I know in every video I know I do the same things but this is the MAC Select Cover Up. I'm going to put this on real quick and then I'll be right back.
Use MAC's Engraved Powerpoint pencil. I'm going to put on lashes, I'm going to touch up the top anyway, but I'll just line it really quick. This is waterproof. I'm going to line this under, on my lash line. I'm going to take an eyeliner brush. This is MAC's 212. I'm going to take Fixed Plus and I'm going to spray it. I'm going to grab the Favori again and I'm going to just kind of smudge it under. It's supposed to look very smudgy. You could use a pencil brush. The reason I'm not using a pencil brush though is because I don't want the line to be too thickety thick, thick. But use whatever brush you're comfortable with, just make sure it looks kind of smudgy. Make it smudgy but not runny, not running down your face. Just like that.
I'm going to put on my lashes. I'm going to use NYX's, is this NYX? Yeah. NYX 132, they're kind of like the criss cross lashes. I will be right back to finish up the rest of my face. Here are the eyes so far with my lashes on. Over that I put my L'Oreal Telescopic liner, just on top. I'm going to contour though with my Jemma Kidd Showstopper bronzer and a Bare Escentuals angled brush. I'm taking that NARS Deep Throat blush and a Sigma angled brush, not too much brush, just a little bit. Just like a little wash. Really quick I just added Kilimanjaro, which is like a light goldy color on the tear duct because I could see she has a color here.
For my lips I'm using three things. I'm using NYX's Coffee lip liner and this is a deep color I'm going to fill my lips in with. I'm going to put MAC's Blankety over it, which is a pinky nude. I'm going to put MAC's clear lip gloss right on top. Brush on some mascara. I just need to fix my hair but here's the finished makeup look.
I love the smoky eye but when I saw Miss. Universe 2010 have it I just thought I'd do a tutorial. I hope you all enjoyed, thank you so much for watching and I will talk to you all soon. guys soon. Bye.
