I LOVE CIRCLE LENSES Review
by Makeup By Leina B.
Coastal Scents is very, very popular and I always get a lot of questions on what are my favorite products and all that stuff. I know that we rely on reviews. We rely on what other people have to say about a certain company online before we order from them and all that stuff. It is our money on the line and we can't even look at the stuff in real life. Coastal Scents, you all need to open up a store.
I'm going to go really quickly. I can't, I don't want to talk too much about these certain products because I want this video to be short. I'm going to just go right ahead into it. Whatever links I can find about the products that I name, I'm going to put them down below as much as I can. If I can't, I apologize. You're just going to go ahead and search the website for yourselves.
I'm going to start off with the two Creative Me palettes. Coastal Scents has a lot of palettes but this is the Creative Me #1. It's mainly filled with colorful matte colors. I haven't rearranged it. I haven't touched it or anything so it comes with a huge old mirror. It comes with twelve matte shades. Now, you could buy this whole palette or you could buy the colors individually because they do pop out and they have magnets. If you want to rearrange the colors or whatever you want to do with them, then you can go ahead and do that. I really, really love matte colors.
I'm not a huge fan of shimmery colors but the Creative Me # 2 palette that just came out really has me. I kind of messed around with this a little bit. I rearranged the colors and I put my favorite ones in here. You can buy them originally as the palette or you can buy the individual hot pots. I kind of messed around with this one. This is not how it comes. This is not how it looks like. It looks different with different colors in it. They're quite heavy because of the mirror. They're really good palettes. You can rearrange them because they're magnetic. I love the colors that Creative Me #1 originally comes with. I wasn't really happy with the Creative Me #2, the ones that it originally came with but I have a lot of the hot pots so I kind of just like rearranged it to my liking.
The next is the regular 88 palettes. I have been recommending this to a lot of people who want to start out with makeup because it has a really wide range of colors. I know it's all dirty because I use it. It comes with a mirror, two sponges that I'm never ever going to use, and all these colors. I know that there's a 88 shimmery palette, the warm palette, and then this is the regular one. This has a mix of matte, and shimmeries, and satins and all that stuff. I loved the range of colors and finishes. This is my favorite palette or one of my favorite palettes.
I really like the 28 neutral palette. They are bigger eye shadows than the 88 palette. These are, like, regular size. These are like hot pot size. You can't buy these colors individually. I know Coastal Scents doesn't sell these because they're not titled or anything. This is the 28 neutral palette. I really like this for weddings. I usually bring this when I do weddings. It just comes with a whole bunch of neutral shades. It has no mirror but it's OK. It's nice and light and it's really easy to carry in my kit.
The next palette is the camouflage concealer palette. This has the same consistency as Mac's Studio Finish Concealer. Mine broke. I have another one.
It comes with ten shades. If you are a makeup artist, this is wonderful to have in your kit. This is not my makeup artist one. This is just my personal. That's why you see the colors are used up because I use these. If you're a makeup artist, you could mix this with mixing medium and it could become a foundation. It's a nice palette to have because it has so many different shades.
These are their lip liners. I love their lip liners and I talked about them in a video when I talked about the hot pots. I really like these because they're like $2 or $3 and they're really big. They're nice and pigmented and really smooth. These are my three favorite colors, in particular, for every day. It's mauve, it's dirty because I used it. Just if you want to know my favorites, they are mauve, coffee, and natural. These are the three.
The next is their gel liners. Now, this particular one is called sexy pink I think.
I have more of their gel liners. I don't use these as liners. I use these as bases for eye shadow. I like them because they don't crease on you. I like how pigmented they are. I really like these as eye shadow bases.
The next items or products are mica powders. These mica powders, you could use them like pigments, like matte pigments. You can use them on your face, on your lips, on your eyes. They're safe for everything, or anything. These are my two particular favorite ones. There is a green one but I can't find it. This is the misterioso bronze mica powder. This is the gemstone emerald. It's just a really pretty turquoise with gold shimmer. Their mica powders are really fine and they're not gritty and thick or anything.
Brushes, brushes, let's be fast with this. This, first, is a flat-top Kabuki brush and it's so dense. It doesn't smell or anything even after you wash it. I've washed this a million times. It has a nice shape. It's really, really soft. I love this for my powder foundation. I recently just got a different version of it. It's kind of like the same thing but it's smaller and it has a handle, of course. It's tinier and it's not as dense but it's pretty much the same thing. I love this Kabuki brush. I love this too. I used it today. I really like flat top brushes because me using powder foundations, it really packs on the powder nicely. It doesn't look all cakey or anything. It really blends it in. The next is this fan brush. I love fan brushes for powder highlights or liquid highlights.
This next one, it's originally a foundation brush but I use this for blush. I really like this for blush because you could just get it right there. Next thing and I use these brushes on a daily basis. I use these brushes a lot. When I use them in tutorials, I can't really give them names because they don't have names. They come in this reptile little clutch. It comes with fifteen brushes, but I lost one. I don't know where it is. Here it is. I know you guys recognize these brushes because I use these brushes a lot. I use this a lot for my highlights. I like this to contour. It's a very interesting shape. I swear, all the brushes in here, you could find really, really good uses for them. They're not your typical flat brush or blendy brush. I don't think this comes with a blendy brush or this particular set.
It has really unique uses and I love the variety. It's not your typical brush set. I like this. Kind of like the Sigma 239. It comes with a pencil brush. It comes with this really tiny detailed brush. It comes with this small fan brush and these synthetic brushes. Now, this is where I lost one. The one that I lost was an angled brush, an angled synthetic brush. That looked exactly like these. This is really tiny and synthetic. I like these types of brushes to apply gel liners if I use them as a base. Again, I like the closeness of the gel liners.
I love the variety that it comes with. It has all these interesting shapes of brushes. When I first saw this brush, I was like, "What the hell am I going to use this for?" It's really nice to contour your nose with or if you want a really contoured cheekbone.
This is one of my favorite foundation brushes just because the bristles are so soft. I know that some foundation brushes can be quite pokey but this stays soft. I wash this all the time and it stays really, really soft. I'm not a huge fan of the big fluffy brushes. I use them and they're soft but they're not hella soft, not like this soft. Then again, I know they're different bristles. I still use them and they still distribute the color on my face really, really nicely. They're not hella soft but they're pretty soft.
I hope that I got to explain as much as I could for your guys. I'm going to find the links, as many links as I can, for all of the products that I just talked about. I know that we all rely on what other people have to say about certain companies before we even order from them especially when we can't see them in person. I hope that this is helpful to you all.
People are going to ask for FTC. I got most of these products for free but I paid for half of these products. I paid for the Creative Me #1. I paid for the camouflage concealer palette. I paid for the 28 neutral palette. I paid for the gel liners. I don't know. When it comes to Coastal Scents, I bought half the Coastal Scents things to have. When it comes to Coastal Scents, I don't want you guys to think I'm a walking advertisement because I do get these things for free. I'm not going to lie. I'm sponsored by Coastal Scents. Before I was sponsored by Coastal Scents, I bought Coastal Scents stuff because I always heard about how great quality these Coastal Scents products were or are. I hope you guys trust my opinion and I hope that this is helpful. These are the products that I love. I'll talk to you all later. Peace.
