I have worn this look a few times to more formal dinners, and I've always received compliments. If you're going to an event where you have to look really put together but you also want to stand out, then this is a great choice. And the updo is very sturdy once on your head so you don't have to worry about it falling apart on the dance floor.

I have shown a slight variation to this bow in a few of my earlier tutorials, and I thought I would quickly go over how to turn a simple scarf/ribbon into a bow within minutes. This is a very quick and no-sew DIY, but if you did want it to last longer and to be able to reuse it then definitely throw in a few stitches
