On December 10, 2011 a group of local Raleigh photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, and other awesome volunteers got together to try and make a difference in the lives of some people in our community as part of the Help Portrait 2011 event. Help Portrait (http://help-portrait.com) is a global movement in which photographers organize local events to provide professional portraits to families in need who would otherwise not have the opportunity to have them done.

I am very fortunate to know two of the local photographers who helped organize the event, the fabulous AJ and Cynthia Viola (you can see their incredible work at http://www.simplyphoto.net). Cynthia asked me if I could help doing some makeup, which I was thrilled to do.

I had an AMAZING time there, and had my hubby film some video footage of the event. This is a quick snapshot of the event from our perspective, one in which we would absolutely LOVE to do again in the future.
