Murray's Edgewax is the affordable edge control solution for natural hair. I found it at Walmart for around $3. This is like the low-cost alternative to Hick's Edges. I swear it works.

My hair doesn't have to be all the way clean and freshly washed to use Murray's Edgewax. I do have to watch what products are in my hair though because it did flake on me one time. I start by putting a little bit on and then working my way up.
