Interestingly enough, the original comic book was written by James O'Barr to deal with his girlfriend being killed by a drunk driver. This goes to show that art is the best form of therapy. On a side note, drunk driving isn't cool- at all. If you want to risk your life, fine. It's your life and no one can tell you how to live it, but to endanger someone else's life is purely selfish and stupid.
So back to what I'm here for lol. The version of the Crow I was inspired by was the original Brandon Lee Crow. What can I say? He was the Crow and will always be the Crow. I also liked how gritty this facepaint was for the film. It would have been really easy to paint his face perfectly and beautifully, but the way they did it- almost crudely- gave life to the character. The story of the Crow isn't pretty, and neither should his makeup.
