To prepare for Zari's, an 8 month old infant, first flight, we called United Airlines, ahead of time to gather pertinent information: is she required to have her own seat, what can we bring on the plane, what is she authorized to have, etc. We learned that with this airline, a separate seat is not required for kids under 2. They allowed a car seat and 1 bag to be checked. Her stroller traveled with us, and was checked in at the terminal gate. This made our flight experience less stressful. Zari did great on the plane, we joked and played with her before and during take off. We offered the pacifier to her the entire time, to pop her ears. She seems a little uncertain at first, but we smiled and continued to show her that things were ok. Prior to the flight we kept her up, so she would sleep during the flight. Another tip for flying with an infant would be to purchase a non stop flight if possible! I hope your enjoying this Flying with an Infant, Visiting Family Vlog!

Although it’s a small portion of my life, creating vlogs can help you get to know me better. As you see in the video, our friends and family in DC and Virginia were excited to see us, and we were just as thrilled to see them! ME: Hey Love! I never proclaimed to be a minimalist; however I did LARGELY minimize my wardrobe and makeup collection, and I shared that journey with you all.
