You need to prep your hair b4 you put it into a protective style. 2 weekends b4 i did this i had just put a protein treatment in my hair which means my hair was strong and healthy. That is VERY Important putting damaged hair into extension is only going to make it worse not a good idea although most people think it is. If your hair is damaged you need to keep it out and treat it to health b4 you braid it Unless of course you plan on cutting it when you are going to take the braids out. Then it wouldn't really matter if your ends get more damaged.But i really wouldn' tsuggest it. If anything i would say Cut, treat then braid ...
