I'm confused. Are you asking if you should wash your hair when it gets greasy?

Do you mean use only shampoo and not conditioner?

Shampooing works to remove the grease but conditioner is still important because it helps moisturize your hair shafts

Don't bring the conditioner to the top of your head. Just from the nape of your neck down :)

Are you asking if you should only use shampoo and not conditioner when you shower? I'll give you a few tips on how to prevent your hair getting greasy. Only condition the ends of your hair, like from the bottom of your ear down. Don't put conditioner on your scalp. Also, avoid touching your hair a lot throughout the day with your hands, which can transfer oil from your hands onto your hair. And lastly, try using dry shampoo to absorb some of the oil. (: I've never heard of someone only using shampoo and not conditioner, but I would imagine it to be very drying to your hair. I could be wrong though.

Don't wash your hair everyday cause in doing that, you "trained" your hair to over produce your natural oils. I agree with previous poster, use dry shampoo on day old or two day old hair, and cut down washing. Also, get rid of your shampoo if it has sulfates. Deep condition and get into the habit of washing less.
