I'm planning on having my friend dye my hair tonight and just wanted to ask of it is ok because I tend to have pretty oily hair. I last washed it on Saturday. Thanks in advance!

It's fine, it's recommend to dye hair that is not newly washed, as the oils helps to protect the hair from the chemicals!

Hair needs to be washed one day prior to your hair color. The color will not catch properly if it's too greasy. you could also wash it today with a mild shampoo before coloring your hair.

It depends on the type of dye (permanent will usually require slightly dirty hair while demi requires freshly washed...). usually it will say how clean the hair needs to be on the packaging.
