I got a highlighter for my birthday last year and I've never used it because I don't really know where/how to use it.

You use highlighters on the points of your face that you want to bring forward/draw attention to. Tops of the cheekbones, center of the forehead, down the nose etc.

You use highlighter basically when you want to highlight a facial feature. Like Hannah said tops of your cheek bones are one is the best places to put it! I do it on the top of my cheekbones, my Cupid's bow, the bridge of my nose, and the middle of my forehead 😘

You use highlighter to bring things forward! It's all about light (highlighter) and shadows (contour) and most highlighters have shimmer in it, which of course reflects light! You apply it on to all the high points of your face. What you want to bring forward!
