Purple Hair!! How-To & Maintenance.

So I've had my hair purple for about 3 almost 4 weeks and I totally love it. My hair was still really brassy when I dyed it but I put a fuscia color in first and then added the purple 24hrs later and that created a perfect base for vibrant purple.

I have only done one touch up coloring but otherwise the maintenance is a matter of washing your hair only 2-3 times a week and I usually only wash with cold water in the sink, never in the shower. I also added some dye to my shampoo and conditioner :)

If anyone has more color-care tips I would love to hear them!!

Make sure to wash and conditioner your hair with a sulfate free shampoo/conditioner that is suited for colored hair!

Thanks ladies!! @Jenna I used the Ion color brilliance brights in Fuscia for the first step and the mixed the Purple with Manic Panic Purple Haze for the purple :)

@Cami I just bought some Organix shampoo and conditioner which don't have harsh chemicals :)

What I did with my coloured hair is I washed it two times a week with only cold water. try to only shamp it once a week and when doing so use a shampoo for coloured hair. also when going out in the sun.. put some type of block in it. the sun dries it out and also fades the colour!

And like others said. dry shamp is your best friend. :)

Get a bottle of chi shampoo and mix your color in it as you shower leave it in for a few and you won't have to worry about touch ups! ;)
