Okay so I really want to grow my hair out to waist length (I'm currently at collar bone length). My hair is like owning a very picky child, it likes only certain things. It's extremely dry at the roots. I have tried moisturizing it with leave in conditioner, coconut oil, moisturizers, oils but they make me shed a lot and even drier!! The only way it doesn't shed is that if I wash it with "crece pelo" and then blow dry. Can everyone please help me. Is there anything that make my hair moisturized with out shedding? The only dry areas are my roots.

Plus I have really fine hair is there anything I can do to thicken it.

Hm, are you putting the treatments through the whole head if hair? That would cause the shedding. I suggest keeping your routine, but maybe when you blow dry, do it in increments with breaks in between. For thickening, you could try a nexus thickening treatment. I got mine at a beauty school salon, but it works well.

No I only put the treatments on the roots. Which makes my roots drier. It sucks so bad. Would I have to continue using the nexus on a weekly basis or a bi weekly basis.

Not everyone is meant to have certain oils in their hair, sometimes they provide a bit to much protein which can result in the breakage. That and coconut isn't much of a moisturizer and is best used as a sealant.

But how often do you wash your hair and how often do you deep condition it?

I wash my hair every two weeks and I must deep condition it the same day or else it breaks.
