I think it depends on what your brows are like naturally & the look you're going for. Pencils are good if you don't want to spend a lot of time on your brows or if your brows are already decent & you just need a touch up. Pomades are good if you want a very defined & dramatic "look at my brows" look. Mousses, similar to pomades have a little more density & are good for those whose brows are nicely shaped but just needs fill-in, they provide a thicker, hair-like appearance or if you just want a softer look than a pomade. Powders gives the softest look and are good if you need to fill-in but want a more softer feminine look. But, you can use a combination of products to give you the result you're looking for. I like a pomade to line the upper & lower perimeter of the brows & to extend my tail but will fill in with a mousse or powder, depends on my mood. I keep a pencil in my purse for touch-ups if needed. These are just my tips and opinions based on my experiences. Its always best to experiment to find what works for you. And, anything ANASTASIA for brow products with the exception of a mousse (which I believe they don't have, just pomade). Tarte makes a good mousse.

Anastasia dip brow is by far the best but you need to know how to apply it right without it looking fake.
