I'm re-dying my hair soon. its currently light brown-ish I'm having trouble choosing a color , was thinking I should go dirty blonde. And I'm not sure if I should go to a salon or do it at home b/c I've been told most salon products sometimes damage hair. What do you girls suggest? ðŸ‘😮

Maybe try some blonde highlights? and I recommend going to the saloon, it will probably look better :)

Any lightening you do on your hair is going to damage it no matter what the product is or where you get it from. the professionals know what they are doing but it would be cheaper at home. if you are really worried about damaging your hair you should ask for a special treatment if you get it done at a salon or buy hair masks.

I think a dirty blonde would fit you but lightening your hair can always damage maybe try lightening it in different parts. So it won't damage as much as it would. Do it at home it'll be cheaper and if you really don't wanna damage it after dying it do a lot of masks for colored hair so it won't fade as fast as it would.

Julia K. - I might try doing that & dying my hair a shade lighter then keep on highlighting about every month till I get color desired maybe that will work? & not damage my hair completely all at once.

I was thinking of going lighter too (I have light brown hair) but I was worried I wouldn't like it, maybe you could do highlights or ombré?
