So I'm trying to use more natural/organic stuff for my hair care and I came across Dr Bronner's shikakai soap. Have any of you tried it? Like it? Recommend it?

It's VERY drying.
Make sure you have a good conditioner

I use dr Bronners for everything, but I use the plain Castile soap so I haven't tried that one yet. When I use it for my hair, for about a week or so my hair looked like crap because it was adjusting. Now that my hair is used it, I love it. I don't think I'll ever go back to shampoo.

Thanks! I ended up trying it out and was told to use apple cider vinegar as a rinse to get my hair back to the right ph level afterwards and its working great for my hair so far!

Yeah I forgot to mention that I use that too. No shampoo or condition for me and I swear it's the best thing I've done for my hair. Dr Bronners also makes this citrus conditioning rinse. I've never tried it myself but I've heard good things. I love the whole Bronners line. I use the soaps for everything. I use the tea tree soap for my face, peppermint for body wash. It's great.

I agree! I'm thinking of trying out their citrus rinse I'll let you know how it is if I do :) I'm probably going to get some of their castile soap to use for my cleaning.

Please do. I keep meaning to try it, but then it slips my mind for some reason. And the Castile soap, I save so much money since I use it for everything. Washing dishes. Everything.
