I find that my skin has been horrible lately when I put on foundation I looks horrible I can't explain the texture but it almost looks like it doesn't go on smoothly and it seems to sink into my enlarged pores. Any suggestions?

Are you moisturizing before you apply foundation? maybe you need a good exfoliation or it the foundation your using is just not good for your skin anymore.

I have incredibly sensitive skin myself. An employee at ulta suggested I try Philosophy's micro delivery wash. It's seriously FANTASTIC! It exfoliates, but it's really gentle. It has made my foundation go on so much smoother.

Thanks girls and Kelly I am using the cerave moisturizer with spf 30 fir my sensitive skin the foundation I use is Nars santa fe sheer matte medium2 I tried using garniers bb cream and I get the samd effect including that one irritates my skin because I have rosacea. When I exfoliate my skin looks blotchier and like orange peel skin its driving me crazy

Try using a foundation with silicon in it like the new ysl one. (Youth something) you can also use a primer, then CC cream then foundation. When my skin was doing that with foundation's it was skin products not getting along with foundations. If you live near Nordstrom schedule an appt with their beauty stylist (no charge) and they will spend all day with you to you find something that works.

Hey girl, I know what you're talking about, happens to me too. And I have rosacea. So first I also use Philosophy's Microdelivery wash, it's not a very rough exfoliator, it's very very fine particles and more of a chemical exfoliator I *think. Anyway it does right by my skin, makes it baby soft. You can ask for a sample at either Sephora or Nordstrom so you can try it out.
For a primer I've been using M.A.C's Prep+Prime Skin, everything else always felt too slippery, if that makes sense? This feels more like it creates a flat canvas on my face to work. Again, get a sample at Nordy's.
As for foundation, I really have liked MUFE HD, Givenchy Teint Couture, and Dior Skin (again samples). I felt like they all have provided good coverage for my rosacea, are buildable over those areas, don't do weird separating things, or settle into my pores.
Finally like Allison said, I have noticed sometimes I have a moisturizer that just isn't friends with my other products.

Thank you soooo much Bree youre so sweet. I recently went to Mac and the makeup artist literally played around with different products and they were all not working for like an hour. She finally suggested I try the Volcanic Ash exfoliator, and a moisturizer that feels really nice but still need to see what happens after a few more days with those two. I also bought the MAC prep that you mentioned and s mineral powder. I still havent found a good foundation but I will definitely check out your suggestions. By the way the effect that all foundations keep causing is sinking into my pores due to the orange peel skin texture. I hope this can help because It really depresses me to where I don't want to even go out in the day time.

Thank you also Allison and I tried that at MAC and she didnt find the foundation that would work perfect with my new moisturizer and skin prep primer I am trying to figure that out maybe I will open a separate thread for foundation that may go with my new products :)
