I need a new hair dryer too. My hot tools blow dryer is less then 6 months old and already had a short in it. So I would avoid hot tools.

I am a hairdresser and I love elchim brand blowdryers. I also like the white bio ionic blowdryers.

I use the karmin g3 hair dryer, it's professional and it works pretty good, works with ceramic heat which is good for hair, leaves it soft and smooth. :)

I have an Elchim Professional dryer that was around my parents house for at least 10-15 years. I am using the same one now, at 23, that I did when I started blow drying my hair over 10 years ago. Its amazing! We always have two or three Elchim brand dryers floating around my parents house, so I snagged one when I moved out and I'm so glad I did. I'm not sure how expensive it is since it was my mom's, but it has lasted for so long, at any price, it pays for itself in quality and lifespan. Sorry I can't be more helpful with the price range =/

I agree with Monique, I also have a Karmin G3 salon pro hair dryer and the price is reasonable for a professional model like this one.

I love Karmin hair tools! I woud suggest however if you want the best, you check out there new Salon Series, a bit more then their Salon Pro hair dryer but worth every penny! They also have a 3 year warranty so if any issues you get a replacement :) http://www.karminhairtools.com/ca/karmin-salon-series-ultralight-professional-ionic-hair-dryer.html
