How to pull off dark lipstick?

Okay so I am in love with deep red and plum lipsticks but any time I put it on I just can't walk out of my house wearing it. Is anyone else like this?

Just wear it around the house and (this May sound weird) check urself out in the mirror a lot. If you get used to seeing urself with a dark lip, it'll be 100x easier to wear it out.

When I do a bold lip I usually feel like I'm wearing a lot of makeup, so I tone down everything else! I wear my normal face makeup (foundation concealer powder) then do my brows, and just put mascara on :) if you want a bit more try to put a bit of eyeliner on, and it'll look really gorgeous!

I was like that until about 2 years ago. I was forced to walk out of the house with it on and all my friends and even strangers loved it! I think just wearing it around the house to give yourself confidence is awesome! Just make sure if you wear it out that the rest of your makeup is more natural! :) at some point you will feel comfortable enough to wear it out! Just rock yourself!

Thanks! With some determination you can wear black lipstick as a day thing, but plum and dark reds are always great.
