Ha ha Jacqlyn, you are not alone. I have started using them last week only and they have not impressed it. it is not yet in 'hate' mode, but let's see after few washes!

Real Techniques brushes were crap for me. Even my 16 year-old sister hated them. She said she'd rather use her paint brushes to apply makeup than use those brushes again.

I have a Mason jar full of Coastal Scents brushes...they're okay for the price. There's a couple that I REALLY like, but the rest were just meh. I'm going to upgrade to Sigma brushes next month. My cousin has some and I was able to use a few once...loved them. I've also heard great things about Sonia Kashuk & EcoTools brushes as well.

If I had a set of Hakuhodo or Chikuhodo I think I'd put them in a lighted glass display case lol. Some mac brushes, elf (I like the studio line better), Elizabeth Arden (can get them if you work for their counter and online), a brand I got from Sally's.

Jacqlyn, I'm also anti-RT. There's SUCH better options out there.

Bdellium are pretty good, but I really like the Crown brushes I have better, with the exception of an angled blush brush that's a dupe for M.A.C's 168. The crown version I have is not soft. My favorite crown brushes are the small buffer brush and blender brush for concealer and foundation. Both are on HauteLook right now for such a good price :)
As much shiz as people give them I really have been happy with all of my M.A.C brushes, they're very soft and do what they are meant to, so no complaints. I also have not had any shedding issues.

Jacqueline, I'm totally sweatin' this Kevyn Aucoin brush. After the discount at Nigel's it's not so bad, but I have no money to spend now. So I keep visiting it online. There is NOWHERE that sells KA here :(

I bought one real techniques brush. the blush brush and its itchy n dry. I dislike it greatly and won't b buying more.

I've heard mixed reviews on Sonia k brushes but I may try them next.

I've been using ecotools brushes. I like elf studio c brush and I have like 6 of them. lol.

Mac brushes are nice.

I've seen crown brushes on sale at hautelook I believe n was eyeing them but didn't have any spending $ at the time.
