I tried out for the first time today mac foundation in nw20 and it matches perfectly In natural light as well as indoor. However, flash photography have me a disgusting white cast.
The Nw was a little surprising since I never really could tell weather I was warm or cool, however I thought I leaned more towards cool. I cannot remember what I used to get matched with in other brands because I never paid attention to warms or cools. However I do remember getting matched with Lancome and almost every single color would get too dark and orange on me. I believe in the lancome I was being matched in warm.
Anyways, are there any signs when you've chosen your correct tone for foundation?
