I have always been curious about this powder from following my favorite blogger so I decided to go ahead and take the plunge. I do have to mention that this stuff is quite pricey at $60 for 0.35 oz of product.

It is a micro-fine hyaluronic acid powder that can be applied prior to foundation application or after. It can also be used after applying skincare products in the PM (I'm not too keen on that one). It claims to resurface wrinkles but I'm skeptical of that one but what I like about it is that it blurs out enlarged pores and it gives a clear matte finish without looking like the moisture in my skin hasn't been sucked out. Intially I was so scared that this pricey gem would have me looking like Casper the Ghost since I'm of a dark complexion but using my Cargo Magic Brush I just buffed a small amount into my skin and my complexion looked and felt soft. Creamy soft just minus the shine and blurred out pores. It played well with my water-based oil free foundation from Laura Mercier and with my Bobbi Brown CC cream that was topped of with her foundation stick. After applying my blush I finished it off with my Hourglass Ambient powder in dim light.

Essentially I used this powder as a primer. I have oily/combo skin and living in FL where humidity and heat consist of summer I was surprised that to discover that my face didnt resemble the bottom of a deep-fryer. Greasy. After a day of wear my face still had that velvet matte finish. I will try it on top of my foundation in the near future but for right now I love the look it gives as a primer.

Shelly, where did you purchase this at? I'm always on the lookout for mattifying products.

Hyaluronic acid, would this be a nice gem for drier skin types?
I generally like the blurring out look my Nars Crystal setting powder gives out, but it can make me look quite dry afterwards.

@Kitty...hyaluronic acid plumps up dry skin with moisture. Any skin type can benefit from the use of HA. I tried out the NARS Crystal setting powder as well and it made my dry spots look parched.
@Janette...I ordered thru SpaceNK online.

@Nhung...the secret is in the brush and how much product you use. Did you use the face puff to apply it?

Your skin always looks glowing and gorgeous shelly.

@Nhung...the brush is probably picking up too much product and if using a puff you want to use in a rolling motion. I've seen my daughter do that with pressed powders and then she went in with some other brush to dust off any possible excess.
@Lori...thank you beautiful. ;)

Very interesting. I too have oily skin and live in humid hot box Florida lol. I wonder how this would work for me. what foundation did you pair it with?

@Kimberly...I used it with Laura Mercier's new Flawless Finish Fluide in this pic but I've tried it with my Bobbi Brown line up as well and all of them did well.

Omg Shelley flawless. you say it helps with dry spots? I need that because I have tried creams, and moisturizers, and home remedies and nothing has worked. it just makes my skin oily or makes the dry patches peel ugh. so if you know of anything else let me know and thanks for sharing

@Mizz Mea M. I'm glad you posted a comment on this thread because for the longest I've been trying to post an answer to a question you had about the Dip Brow. It kept giving me an error message. I have it in Ebony and I think you'll do fine with that one as well. I will warn you that a super light hand is needed so it allows you to build up. I made the mistake of applying too much and once that stuff set I was done.lol. Ok, dry spots competing with oily...I suggest checking out Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask ( its just a glorified night moisturizer but it treats my oily/dry spots just fine). I use it after using my intense once a month clay mask to clear out my pores. It goes for $32 in store. I highly advise not using during the day but the benefits of it carry over into the next day so its worth a try as well. The ByTerry powder is great as its not drying to any portion of my skin. Its just pricey as all get out.
